  About Title

The Royal Parks are some of London's greatest attractions - just think of the sweeping view from Observatory Hill in Greenwich Park, Trooping The Colour on the Mall, or the stunning Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. Each Royal Park is a living, thriving blend of horticulture, wildlife, architecture and cultural heritage with a dedicated team of experts working 365 days of the year.

Why was a charity needed?

It costs nearly £30 million a year to keep The Royal Parks safe and clean, in beautiful condition and bursting with life. This covers the essentials of day-to-day maintenance, but there is so much more we can do with a little extra help!
This is where the Foundation comes in.
Registered as a charity (number 1097545)
in May 2003, we are committed to raising
additional funds in order to:

• Protect what we have inherited from the past
• Support what we are doing in the present
• Create new opportunities for the future

Our current flagship project

The Look Out Education Centre

This is an ambitious £2m project to create a fabulous new, environmental education centre for young people in Hyde Park. Surrounded by nature trails and wildlife ponds, it will be a place where future generations of city children can discover the wonders of the natural world.

Browse the menu to find out more about the Look Out Appeal and our other exciting projects including the Half Marathon, Deckchair Dreams and much more.

The Foundation actively
  supports each one of the
  Royal Parks and there
  are many ways to get
  involved - from adopting
  a duck, buying a Royal
  Parks rose or even leaving
  a lasting legacy to the
  Parks. Browse each one of
  the pages on the menu
  to find out more.

The Prince of Wales is the
charity’s Patron and is very supportive of our work. We
also have an excellent board
of Trustees who are
passionate about the Royal
Parks and are key to the
successes of the Foundation
to date.
